CocolicoEach day, one green design.

This one isn’t that related on green design. But as “it” happened, we have to not forget it. It happened. It: the gigantic tsunami that ended so many lives back in December 2004.

Without little doubt, the giant wave severely impacted 6 southern provinces of Thailand. In short: a lot. But still bleeding Thailand is trying to move on. A design competition for the Tsunami Memorial is hold by the government of Thailand.

Five projects have made their way through the final stage. Our favorite is the Spanish project which intends to act as a performer giving warning to the people.

Five towers shows up in the air, five towers that spot peaks of geologic tectonic power and with a scent of Pacific tribal structure. From a far point of view, those towers look close to the Jean-Marie Tjibaou cultural center in New Caledonia and designed by Renzo Piano.
